Dr. Charles Peterson

Dr. Charles Peterson is a Sports Medicine physician, specializing in the care of athletes and their families. He is Board Certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. He attended medical school at Northwestern University and completed residency in family medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Scottsdale. He received fellowship training in sports medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. While in fellowship he helped care for the Milwaukee Wave and Rampage soccer organizations.

Dr. Peterson is the team physician for Mountain View High School in Mesa. He enjoys being involved in the community and working with young athletes. He has expertise in helping athletes of all ages and levels return to their desired activities.

Dr. Peterson is a team physician for the Chicago Cubs. He also travels with the US Freestyle Ski Team for World Cup competition and has traveled with the team to Sweden, France, Japan, Chile, and to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver Canada.

Dr. Peterson has been involved in numerous missions in Haiti and speaks and writes in fluent Haitian Kreyol. He is dedicated to helping Haiti and has shown this commitment by providing disaster relief medical care following the earthquake in 2010.

Dr. Peterson is married with five children and lives in Mesa, Arizona. He is an active member of the community and serves as a board member of Mesa United Way.
